New VTCT Beauty, Make-up & Nails Training in Stoke

Three of the team here at Acacia Training are behind the launch of a new beauty, make-up and nail training academy opening in Hanley this weekend.

Foundations Nail and Beauty Academy will offer the chance for people to retrain, boost their business or advance their beauty careers in just six months.

People who work in the beauty or nail industry or those who own their own business are encouraged to attend, as well as anyone who would love to train for a new career as a beauty therapist, make-up artist or nail technician.

We are offering a complimentary glass of fizz as well as the chance to receive advice about the fast track VTCT qualifications in Nail Technology, Make-up Artistry, and Beauty Massage. Existing professionals can also find out about the chance to expand their treatment range by studying individual units such as nail art, manicures, pedicures, face and body art, media make up and a range of massage treatments.

The new business has been founded by Acacia Training’s managing director Vikki Silvester, husband Ryan Silvester and colleague Julie Arrowsmith, both of whom hold senior roles here at Acacia. Acacia has a good Ofsted rating and delivers government funded qualifications throughout the UK.

She continues: “Foundations Nail and Beauty Academy will provide all those things as well as enabling existing professionals to expand their range of services by completing individual units.

For example, a beauty massage therapist can learn how to do nail acrylics, or someone who does nails can learn how to do make-up. There are more than 7 units in each qualification and these can be studied as standalone certificates or all 7 units can be completed within just six months.”

Training at the salon will be delivered by two experienced beauty therapists and training assessors who until very recently worked at Alton Towers Resort Spa.

Potential students can choose whether to pay up front for the course or take a government-backed learner loan, with repayments commencing after their annual salary reaches £21,000 or above.
