Well Done Hayleigh Johnson – National Makeup Semi-Finalist

Acacia Training working closely with our sub-contractor Lincolnshire Beauty Therapy & Make-up Academy are proud to announce student Hayleigh Johnson has reached the semi-finals of the prestigious Jane Iredale® National Student Makeup Competition to take place on 3rd-5th April 2017.

This year’s Animals on Earth and Beyond theme inspired over 200 entries from all over the UK, so beating such stiff competition and becoming a finalist is a wonderful achievement.

Hayleigh is a student on the VTCT L3 Diploma in Make-up Artistry (MUA) which is an intensive 20 week course taking students through all the stages from basic make-up application, to make-up lessons and applying prosthetics and fantasy work.

Speaking about Hayleigh’s success, Lincolnshire Beauty Therapy & Make-up Academy Programme Manager, Michelle Knight said: ‘We are very proud of Hayleigh, this is a great achievement to be selected and we are all rooting for her to do well in the Finals.’

As part of reaching the semi-finals Hayleigh will enjoy a visit to the Jane Iredale flagship London head office from 3rd-5th April 2017 for bespoke advanced training and to recreate their look at a live final where if successful she could win further prizes for herself and her academy.

We wish Hayleigh all the best!
